How a round works
StudyRoyale is a free quiz battle royale for school classes: up to 25 players face off in an arena, every hit starts a quiz duel, and whoever knows the most takes the crown.

Open a lobby
One person opens a lobby on play.studyroyale.app and picks the subjects and the grade.

Join with a code
Everyone else enters the six-character code or opens the link. A player name is all they need.

A hit means a duel
Hit an opponent with your plunger and a duel starts: three questions, knowledge decides.

The zone closes in
An energy wall pushes everyone together. The last one standing takes the crown.
In a duel, knowledge counts, not aim
A duel has three questions. Right against wrong is a hit, and a quick right answer is a critical hit. If both are right, the faster answer wins.
- Four answers in four colours and shapes, easy to read on any device.
- You open crates with a hit and a right answer: inside are Brainwaves, which make your hits stronger, and jokers.
- In a duel you tap a joker beside the question: Bullseye counts double, Dodge keeps that question from hurting you, plus 50:50, +5 seconds and Spy.

Your notes as a quiz
A photo of your notes, a PDF or a text: the AI writes 8 to 64 questions from it and gives the quiz a name. Then you play it with your class or your friends. From 16, with an account.
13 subjects, 3,039 questions
Every subject has questions for three grade bands: 5–7, 8–10 and 11–13. The lobby picks the subjects and the band, and the game draws the questions from them — never the same one twice for you.
Safe for the classroom
Made for pupils: no chat, no ads, no data nobody needs.
No chat
There is no free chat in the game, only emotes to dance with.
Report and block
Players can be reported and blocked, and wrong questions reported.
Word filter
Player names, quiz names and lobby names go through a filter.
No ads
StudyRoyale shows no ads and sells no data.
No advertising ID
No ads, no analytics companies. How much is played, we count ourselves — and you can switch it off.
Age check
Anyone under 16 plays as a guest only, without an e-mail address and without the AI.
Coins are earned with knowledge
Rounds with general knowledge earn coins and experience, plus daily challenges and a reward calendar. In the locker you spend them on colours, hats, back items and dances. Coins can't be bought.
Frequently asked questions
Is StudyRoyale free?
Yes. Playing, all 3,039 questions and the rewards are free, and there are no ads. For AI quizzes of their own, every account from 16 gets Sparks for free: 250 to start and 50 more every day.
Do pupils need an account?
No. Guests only enter a player name. An account with an e-mail address is available from 16; you need it for your own quizzes, the AI and friends.
Which devices does StudyRoyale run on?
In the browser on computers, laptops, tablets and phones, the iPad included. The app for iPhone and iPad is coming.
How many can play?
Up to 25 in one lobby. Bots can fill up the arena if you like.
How long is a round?
About 4 minutes in the arena, then the zone has closed. After that the lobby can play on together.
What happens to the data?
Accounts and quizzes are stored with Supabase in the EU, and the AI runs on Microsoft Azure in the EU. There are no ads and no third-party tracking; how much is played, we only count ourselves. Everything else is in the privacy policy.
